Any injectables may cause serious side effects that can be life threatening, including problems swallowing, speaking, or breathing. Read all safety considerations before using any of the procedures first and of course always consult with your physician.
This is a cosmetic procedure and most commonly used to treat, facial crease, wrinkles as well as many other conditions such as moderate to severe brow furrow (glabellar lines), uncontrolled blinking, lazy eye and more. However, it is also used for a wide variety of non-cosmetic procedures such as as cervical dystonia, writer’s cramp, excessive sweating, achalasia (an esophagus problem), chronic pain, neuropathy, and migraine headaches. When using this treatment form, a a small amount of diluted botulinum toxin is being injected in the affected area and this in return causes a weakening of muscles.
This neurotoxic protein called botulinum toxin as mentioned above is produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum.
Botulinum toxin is also sold commercially under the brand names such as Botox, BTXA, Dysport, Myobloc, Neurobloc, Xeomin, Botox Cosmetic, and Vistabel.
On the contrary, Belotero, is an injected hyaluronic-acid filler, and works to decrease moderate to severe folds around the nose and mouth for up to nine months. (Just as an example of fillers.) This is quite the opposite to Injections of Botox or Xeomin, which inhibit muscle contractions to relax wrinkles, with results typically lasting up to four months depending on the area which is treated, it can last longer.
Botox and other fillers may cause serious side effects that can be life threatening, including problems swallowing, speaking, or breathing. Read all safety considerations for Botox here.
Always make sure to consult your physician when getting any procedure and make sure to ask for possible side effects.
Did you know, that botox can be used for many other issues, other than the reduction of wrinkles? The botox deals above are for cosmetic purposes, however originally this treatment was developed for therapeutic reasons such as strabismus, blepharospasm, and hemifacial spasm in patients over 12 years old back in 1989. (More on this topic here.) Over the years, many more therapeutic options were added such as TMJ problems, overactive bladder and much more. Check out the videos below to learn more about Botox and its various uses, which are far more than the examples show. Talk to your physician about it.

Always make sure to ask your physician first for any health concerns and know beforehand what the procedure is about and know about side effects! Do not make any decisions, especially the ones which concern your health based on a deal! Ask first and be informed!
You might want to also check out other treatments like massage therapy. Manual Therapy Treatments properly applied might be able to give relief for certain conditions. Talk to your health care professional.
