Hair Removal with Laser is a medical procedure. A laser device is being used to remove unwanted hair.
How does it work? With the help of a laser device, laser light passes through the skin to the individual hair follicles and through the intense heat of the laser, these hair follicles ( …which are tube-shaped sacs within the skin) are damaged thus inhibiting future hair growth. Ultimately it is the heat emitted from the laser that causes the inhibition of growth.
The most common treatment locations include legs, armpits, upper lip, chin and the bikini line. Please note, that eyelid or surrounding areas are not good candidates for this kind of hair removal, however, it’s possible to treat unwanted hair in nearly any area, except the previously mentioned.

R. Rox Anderson and Melanie Grossman started experiments with laser lights on the basis that many temporary treatments existed at their time for hirsutism and hypertrichosis however they decided to find a more practical and permanent hair removal treatment. They were successful in their quest for this question with the use of laser light. With their experiments with laser lights.they discovered that it was possible to selectively target a specific chromophore with a laser to partially damage basal stem cells inside the hair follicles. This method was first applied 1996 and in 1997 the United States Food and Drug Administration approved this kind of hair removal. As this technology continued to be researched, laser hair removal became more effective and efficient; thus, it is now a common method in removing hair for long periods of time.
