Rejuvenation and taking a break from winter time, this enormous bathhouse, spa and wellness center, located in Manhattan on 57th Street, gives the perfect opportunity for that.
It is a gigantic spa – sauna – bath, spread over three floors and a popular destination to relax and unwind from the stresses of life. It encompasses a traditional Japanese bath culture, a German hydrotherapy spa pool, a Korean beauty spa, six different saunas including a Himalayan Salt Sauna, or a Far Infrared Sauna to just name some examples of all the different opportunities to relax and rejuvenate.
The wellness center’s top floor includes an outdoor spa where one can soak in the pools while being surrounded by an incredible view of the Manhattan’s skyline.
Pools are of course not only outside, but there are also inside pools. If you would like to get facials, massages, and/or traditional Korean body scrubs, the beauty spa will be your place to go to.
And of course, a Cafe Bistro with a healthy looking menu offering fresh juices, tee, coffee, light snacks such as paninis, açai bowls, poke bowls is on the premises for the small appetite. However, if you feel a bit more hungry, there is also a full-service restaurant, offering sushi, Korean food, salads, and more. There is also a bar, called Aqua Bar, where you will get more than just water. Cocktails, even beer and wine and other beverages are on the menu there and it is a great place to just enjoy your favorites.
Three relaxation lounges are set up for pure relaxation and if you need a little professional help in that, you can even book meditation or yoga sessions (this has to be done in advance). If you choose the admission only option, there is no appointment required, however for any of the additional services, please make sure to make an appointment. What is great with this deal, as well as any visit to Premier 57, general admission includes unlimited access to indoor and rooftop hydrotherapy pools, six saunas (Gold, Loess Soil, Himalayan Salt, Far-Infrared, Ice Igloo, and Chromo Therapy), sleeping room, meditation room, water lounges, steam sauna, and dry sauna.
For an additional fee, you may purchase other treatments that are offered by the spa and also, if you get hungry, food and beverages are available to purchase.

What we love about Premier 57:
The emphasis on Hydrotherapy with it’s Hydrotherapy Spa Pools (Bade Pools) make this place quite appealing. There are different “stations” of aqua-jet nozzles that target specific areas. These aqua-jets provide aqua-massage and it feels blissful besides having a positive effect on body and soul. The nozzles are activated by blue touch dials and they shut off automatically after a few minutes.
There are Indoor & Outdoor Bade Pools.
There might be health Benefits and they differ from person to person and are of course very individual. For many it provides relief from stress, but it might also expand blood vessel and thus might reduce pain, inflammation, swelling and stiffness. It may even help with discomfort caused by arthritis and other rheumatologic conditions.
Please always consult your physician for any health advice and for possible risks. Hydrotherapy might be contraindicated for some.
