There are two methods that are being considered:sclerotherapy or electrocoagulation.

Other Treatment options used to treat veins:
Ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy : This is being used for spider veins which are not visible on the surface. Using the ultrasound machine, deeper veins will be located and larger superficial veins injected with a solution that causes the vein walls to collapse. As larger veins deteriorate, smaller spider and reticular veins follow suit, often vanishing completely.
Laser treatments standing at the ready, which the board-certified physician will mix and match with the injections depending on the severity of each patient’s spider-veins. In addition, customers will receive compression hose, designed to be worn after the treatment to ensure support for the vein walls. Treatment times vary, though most sessions last an average of 30 minutes.
